The Clean Trust - formerly The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
What is the The Clean Trust?
The Clean Trust is the new name for the IICRC. The courses and qualifications will remain the same and the standard of training will still be at the same high level. The focus will remain on our three core areas of expertise – cleaning, restoration and inspection. Additionally, the certification and standards on which the IICRC has built its reputation will remain the same.
The Clean Trust will continue as the certification registry and standard setting organisation for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry. It is the largest world-wide registry of inspectors, cleaners and restorers serving Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, Great Britain and Japan. It is controlled by a Board made up of regional and international trade associations.
The Clean Trust was established in the US in 1972 to provide a means by which professionals could receive industry training and become certified. Today, it is recognised as the impartial certification body for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry. Independent and franchise professionals worldwide are tested through The Clean Trust.
The Clean Trust has been operating as the IICRC in Australia and New Zealand since the 1990s and now has over 1000 registrants qualified in a wide range of skills. Five training schools, together with instructors from the US, provide a year-round program of courses.
Increasingly insurance companies and tenderers are requiring cleaners and restorers to be The Clean Trust/IICRC-registered in order to meet the criteria for the tender.
The Clean Trust will continue the close links forged by the IICRC with industry, with trade associations and with cleaning suppliers.
